澎湖是位在臺灣西邊的島縣，由90座島嶼組成。海島的觀光氛圍濃厚，也能感受到傳統閩南文化的生活基調；1895年到1945年，臺灣由日本治理，做為軍事重地的澎湖，現在也能看到當時留下來的各式建築物。
關於「跟著朦朧潮濕的一天去澎湖」
2024年的夏天，不妨跟著《朦朧潮濕的一天》去澎湖，探訪這個觀光與傳統共融的海島城市。
「跟著朦朧潮濕的一天去旅行」是中華文化總會跟奈良美智基金會10年巡展的計畫，澎湖是做為第2站的縣市，奈良美智選擇了「澎湖開拓館」做為展覽空間:澎湖開拓館是臺灣日治時期的澎湖廳長宮邸，於昭和十年(1935年)竣工落成，是典型「大正-昭和」時期的建築，建築風格融合了東西方特色，有圓型的窗櫺、歐風的八角窗、內開木質大門、日式拉門和屋頂，以及澎湖特有的貓江石矮牆。
奈良美智先生參考原本作為住家的空間使用，規劃了異於美術館白盒子的展示，讓作品融入空間。不僅展出《朦朧潮濕的一天》，更首度在臺展出陶器作品，帶來多張精彩素描及攝影等。
展覽時間為每週三至週一上午9:00-12:00及下午14:00-17:00（每週二休館）。參訪採線上預約，預約場次為開館日9:00、10:00、11:00、14:00、15:00五個場次，每場次入館人數40位及每場次觀展40分鐘，並於每月1日開放次月預約。團體預約為開館日16:00場次，開放10人(含)以上團體於1週前電洽聯絡人提出申請。
Penghu is an island county located on the west of Taiwan, consisting of 90 islands. From 1895 to 1945, Taiwan was under Japanese rule, and Penghu, as a military stronghold, still preserves various types of buildings from that era. You can also enjoy the traditional Minnan culture and the beautiful scenery.
In the summer of 2024, why not follow “A Hazy and Humid Day” to Penghu and explore this island where different types of culture blend harmoniously?
“Traveling with A Hazy and Humid Day” is a project of the Chinese Cultural Association in collaboration with the Nara Yoshitomo Foundation for a 10-year touring exhibition. Penghu is selected as the second stop. Nara Yoshitomo chose the “Penghu Development Museum” as the venue. The Penghu Development Museum was the residence of the Penghu Prefectural Office during the Japanese colonial period. Completed in 1935, it represents the architectural style of the Taisho to Showa era, blending Eastern and Western characteristics, featuring round windows, octagonal European-style windows, wooden inner doors, Japanese sliding doors, roofs, and Penghu’s unique low stone walls made of coral stones.
In 2023, Nara Yoshitomo visited Penghu in the winter and decided to hold the exhibition here after seeing the Penghu Development Museum. He said, “Unlike art museums built for exhibitions from the beginning,the Penghu Development Museum is an architectural structure that coexists with the history of the island.”
Mr. Nara Yoshitomo designed the exhibition differently from a typical white-box art museum, incorporating the space originally used as a residence to integrate the artworks. Besides displaying “A Hazy and Humid Day” for the first time in Taiwan, pottery works, along with fascinating sketches and photographs, are also showcased.
The exhibition is open every Wednesday to Monday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM (closed on Tuesdays). Visits are by online reservation, with five reservation slots available each opening day at 9:00 AM, 10:00 AM, 11:00 AM, 2:00 PM, and 3:00 PM, allowing 40 visitors per slot for a 40-minute exhibition viewing. Reservations for group visits are available for the 4:00 PM slot on opening days, with groups of 10 or more required to contact the designated person for application at least one week in advance.
